EDITORS NOTE
In the thirties of the eighteenth century no fewer than ten types of cupboards were put on the market in Delft. According to the fashion of that time, cupboards were placed on the overhanging hood of a cabinet. This Delft Blue mug with richly decorated floral motifs was hand painted by one of our master painters.
