Fragmentia Triad 04

The Fragmentia Triad 04 is a three-tiered sculpture composed of a bust, torso, and hips. Featuring removable stone fixtures aligned along a central axis, the work allows for flexibility and personalization in its arrangement.

Continuing her signature exploration of the female form, Marcela Cure introduces a sculptural memento that illuminates the contemplative yet beautiful intricacies of womanhood. Through hand-sculpted and hand-cast fragments that form an upright torso, Cure references the anatomical traditions of the Italian Renaissance while returning to more deliberate, geometric forms.

The figure is an assembly—the stacking of three individual, removable stone elements along a single stone axis—and, much like womanhood itself, it is multidimensional and marked by an intangible gravity. Fragmentia Triad 04 stands as a reminder of romance within complexity and poetry within resilience.
